Common STC 51 roof build-up systems from M Metal Pte had achieved a sound transmission class (STC) of 53 (better performance) when tested at TUV SD PSB Pte Ltd testing & regulation body located at Science Park Drive, Singapore. Instrumentation used for the testing was set up according to ASTM E90, and the sound insulation rating computed according to ASTM E413-04 “Classification for rating sound insulation”. |

The C & Z purlins from M Metal Pte Ltd are available in high-tensile steel and mild-steel. High-tensile C and Z purlins base metal thickness range from 1.50mm to 3.00mm with zinc coating Z275 (275g/m2) conforms to AS 1397, with a minimum yield stress of 450MPa. Z350 (350 g/m2) zinc coating is also available upon request, subjected to minimum quantity. / ACCESSORIESFasteners/ScrewsAll fasteners comply with Australian Standard 3566 Class 3 or Class 4 for exposed fasteners use in moderate and severe marine environments classified in accordance with ISO 9223.
CLASS 3 CLASS 4 For general external use in mild and moderate industrial and mild marine application. The class is intended for roofing and cladding screws in standard applications. Fastener compliance used to be achieved by accelerated laboratory testing. In the case of heavy zinc coating, 40μm is deemed to comply. Alloy plating of ZINC/TIN, 25μm is equivalent to heavy zinc at 40μm.
For external use in moderate and severe marine environments, classified in accordance with IS 9223 as generally between 100m from the beach front to approxiamtelt 300m inland. In high winds this may extend further inland. Compliance is to be assessed through real world testing. These outdoor test sites must be located less than 500m from the mean high water line, in a coastal area with surd for most of the year.

Mineral WoolMade from natural or synthetic minerals, mineral wool’s ability to partition air makes them excellent heat insulators and sound absorbers. Aluminium FoilUsed as a radiant barrier to prevent radiant heat of the sun from passing through the structure by reflecting back towards its source, aluminium foil deters heat and vapour transmission in a roof system.
Wire MeshLaid over the purlin, wire mesh acts as a support for both the aluminium foil and mineral wool.
Cement BoardRecommended for projects mostly residential where high acoustic performance is required. It further increases the sound insulation in a roof system.

The substract is made from AZM 150 alloy coated steel sheets. AZM is an alloy comprising 55% Aluminum, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicon. AZM 150 refers to the coating mass in g/ m2 on both sides.
ColorLume® VF-20L can resist city grime, solarisation, dirt staining and acid rain. Under these severe conditions in this region, ColorLume® VF-20L steel sheets are able to preserve its pleasing appearance and have excellent colour retention properties.
Non-ferrous SteelM Metal is capable of roll forming non-ferrous steel such as aluminum, copper, and titanium-zinc subject to the minimum quantity.
Aluminum in PVDF coating is the most popular material among other non-ferrous steel. It’s available in M-Zip 420 and M-Seam 530/25 or M-Seam 505/38 profile with thickness of 0.70mm to 0.90mm.
